There is a beauty sometimes that shines from unexpected sources, a light that we find in something or someone. I believe that we see it because it is a reflection of ourselves in some way, of our spirit, of our wishes, of a secret we hold, or of truth that are trying to discover or learn.
In my collection of art portraits “Portraits of Reflection” I have chosen to apply the closed eyes to represent this inner reflection, and the long hair to represent the strength and freedom of discovery. The hair falls like fluid, water, rain and the reflection can finally be seen in the freedom that comes from discovery and truth.
In “Blue Rain Carnation”, the carnation stand for truth, and the openness to accept it; for it is not enough to just acknowledge our reflections, and inner truths, but we must also accept them.
